It now has the same facilities and amenities as the sistership Sunshine (refitted in 2013 for USD 155 million).
The refitted liner was transformed into Sunshine-Class vessel. In 2019 (March-April) Carnival Triumph is scheduled to enter drydock for around USD 200 million refurbishment, after which it was renamed 'Carnival Sunrise'. Carnival Sunrise (1999-built as 'Carnival Triumph', Fun Ship 2.0 refurbished in 2016, renamed “Sunrise” in 2019) is the second of two converted CCL Sunshine-class liners - with sisterships Carnival Sunshine (Carnival Destiny) and Victory-Radiance, and also Costa Cruises boats Fortuna and Magica.
